The Sex Pistols Snub Olympic Games Closing Ceremony Slot?

Legendary punk rockers the Sex Pistols have reportedly snubbed a chance to perform at this summer's Olympic Games closing ceremony – because they weren't offered enough money.

Blur, New Order and The Specials have already been lined-up to round off the 2012 games with BT London Live at Hyde Park, and a whole bunch of other British icons are being hounded by Olympic ceremony officials as the games creeps closer and closer. But, it seems as though the Sex Pistols won't be making an appearance – as they don't agree with the £1 fee that acts are being paid to perform at the show.

The opening ceremony takes place on August 12th and organisers are allegedly hoping that they'll be able to secure The Clash (or the remaining members of) to perform their seminal track 'London's Calling'. Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, Adele, The Rolling Stones and many more are all linked with the event.
