Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson Creates 1000 New Jobs In South Wales

Iron Maiden legend Bruce Dickinson has definitely done his bit for rock and roll – now he’s helping chip into the unemployment problem by creating 1000 new jobs in South Wales, after it emerged that he was launching his own aircraft maintenance company.
Dickinson is a known pilot and has flown many a passenger plane in his time – he’s even flown planes full of Iron Maiden fans to Iron Maiden gigs across the globe. Now, he’s launched Cardiff Aviation Ltd, a new company that’ll reside at the Twin Peaks hangar in the Vale of Glamorgan. And, around 1000 new jobs will be created by it – making Dickinson even more of a national hero than he already is.
Speaking of the business venture, Bruce said: “We’re coming into this enterprise with the knowledge that we’ll also be bringing business to South Wales. South Wales has long had an association with the aircraft industry and I am delighted that I am able to have a small part in the continuation of that tradition.”
Iron Maiden kick off their US tour in June, and drummer Nico McBrain will also appear alongside members of Slipknot, Whitesnake, The Cult at the Marshall 50 Years of Loud show in Wembley.
