Moya Announces Release Of New Single 'Lost & Found' - Listen Now

21-year-old Brighton-based singer Moya releases her new single ‘Lost & Found’ on June 18th, the title-track from her upcoming debut album, out July 2nd on Four To One Records.

“I didn't want to be labelled as a typical pop artist,” explains Moya on the single choice. “Obviously pop is kind of what we're doing but there is definitely originality in this track that sets us apart.”

“For me, this song teeters between being beautiful and slightly warped. It has quite a sinister feel to it but if you listen to the lyrics, it’s actually quite up-lifting.”

Cue an appropriately moody video, filmed on location in Tilbury, Essex and made by Asylum Films, who’ve produced videos for the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Ida Maria and Hadouken. After the sunny debut promo for last year’s ‘Telling Tales,’ which wowed Youtube and The Box regulars with its astonishingly accomplished underwater scenes, the video for ‘Lost & Found’ couldn’t be more different. This time we simply follow Moya as she walks through a bleak industrial estate, accompanied only by a handsome stranger… “He’s actually an old friend of mine,” confesses Moya. “Picked for his beautiful face of course!”

Moya released her acclaimed debut EP late last year, featuring the previously mentioned ‘Telling Tales,’ which stormed onto regional radio stations up and down the country. This was followed by a cover of Primal Scream classic ‘I’m Losing More Than I’ll Ever Have,’ released in January as part of an acoustic EP, available at her live shows and from her website www.moyamusic.com.

Alongside recording the album, Moya’s also been busy playing live across Brighton and London – a combination of acoustic and full band shows, including an opening slot for Brother & Bones at London’s Borderline. This summer Moya will be making her festival debut at Meadowlands Festival in Glyndebourne on 2nd June followed by a slot on the new bands stage at Beach Break Live, South Wales on June 15th.

The single ‘Lost & Found’ is out June 18th, with the album following on July 2nd.
