Ebullient Louisiana quintet Givers have announced they’ll be returning to the UK in July to perform at Latitude and Larmer Tree festivals later this year - and to coincide, the band have confirmed the release of live favourite ‘Ceiling of Plankton’ on July 30th.
Givers return to the UK after a riotous few months touring the world and playing main stages at festivals such as Coachella and Jazz Fest. They’ve performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live and the new La Blogotheque session The Switch.
The band’s magnificent debut album ‘In Light’ hop, skip, and jumped its way into the hearts of thousands last summer, with lead single ‘Up Up Up’ being playlisted across BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and XFM. They’re tearing up the festival circuit again this summer, so watch out for appearances from the band throughout July.
Givers was formed by Taylor Guarisco (singer & guitarist) and Tiffany Lamson (singer, ukulele & percussionist), who met at the University of New Orleans. When Hurricane Katrina hit, it forced the two back to their home of Lafayette where they met Kirby Campbell (drums, programming & vocals), Nick Stephan (keyboards & flute) and Josh LeBlanc (bass guitar) and began to form the basis for Givers.
