Tickets2AllEvents.com Goes Bust - Scamming Thousands Of Music Fans

The Stone Roses are gearing up for their huge hometown shows at Manchester's Heaton Park this weekend, however, following a string of online touts going bust, some fans will be left without tickets for the shows.

As with all big tour announcements, the vultures have been out preparing to scam unsuspecting music fans with no exception made for the Stone Roses reunion. In October last year, fans were warned about numerous unofficial online touts setting up websites to sell tickets for the tour. Today, www.tickets2allevents.com, one of those unofficial outlets, has gone bust leaving many fans without a ticket for the anticipated Manchester shows.

East London rip-off merchant John Grainger, boss man behind unofficial ticket outlet www.gigsport.com, has left many music fans disappointed after the website collapsed last year owing £364,000. Liquidator Panos Eliades advises customers who have not yet received their tickets to enquire with their credit card provider about a refund.

Panos Eliades comments: "We are still going through the list to find out who has tickets and who has not. I guess there will be two or three hundred out of pocket."

In addition to the collapsed www.gigsport.com, another Grainger company, Official Wimbledon Debentures Ltd, has also gone into liquidation.

Stereoboard advises to only buy tickets from official outlets, such as Ticketline, See Tickets, Gigantic and Ticketmaster. When tickets for a show are sold out we advise you compare and purchase tickets with the trusted and guaranteed exchange sites that we work with such as Viagogo, Seatwave and GetMeIn.

All other sites are either brokers, speculators (selling Stone Roses tickets they do not have possession of), or fraudsters. Stereoboard.com runs a black-list of scam websites to help music fans avoid being ripped off. The ticket scam black-list can be viewed here.

In February 2011, Stereoboard produced a viral video to warn fans against disreputable tout ticket sellers. ‘Access All Areas’, which has received over 30,000 views so far, follows the fate of a group of music fans who opt to go ‘off road’ obtaining their tickets unofficially, to blag their way backstage at a major gig. They ultimately get left out in the cold in the video. The film can we viewed at www.youtube.com/StereoboardTV or you can of course view the video below.
