Folk-rock singer-songwriter Frank Turner has announced that he’ll be releasing ‘Fields of June’ - a duet with Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo - on August 13th.
Available now as a download or to pre-order on limited edition 7" white vinyl, the single will comes backed by Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo's 'BAFTA Award Winning' song 'Nostalgia' (the theme to BBC drama 'Wallander').
Inspired by duets such as Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris, Neil Young & Nicolette Larson, and Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazelwood, as well as more traditional songs as collected by archivists Alan Lomax or Harry Smith, and contemporary songs such as Johnny Cash's ‘Delia's Gone’ or ‘Where the Wild Roses Grow’ by Nick Cave and Kylie, Emily has teamed up with friend and musical peer Frank Turner to create a wickedly dark murder ballad with a strong male and female duet at its core.
