The Twilight Sad Announce UK Tour

Scottish indie-rock outfit The Twilight Sad have announced an October UK tour, following the release of their third studio album ‘No One Can Ever Know’ earlier this year.

The Kilsyth-based outfit will hit the road this autumn for a tour that will take them across Britain, starting with a date in Newcastle’s Cluny on October 18th. The trip will then take them to venues in London, Cambridge, and Leeds, before rounding off in Preston. The band have also announced a show in Glasgow’s Barrowlands which will take place on December 15th. Tickets for the shows went onsale this morning at 9am, and will cost you £9.50 + fees (London £11.00 + fees, Preston £6.00 + fees).

The new tour is set to be their first without touring keyboard player Martin ‘Dok’ Doherty’, who left the band this month. Speaking of his departure, the band said: "End of an era as our next two gigs will be Dok's last with the band. One of our best friends and one of the most talented people we know! It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to share the stage, be on the road [and] have many a drunken night in foreign lands, over the past five years with you, Dok.”

Inspired by the likes of Magazine, Caberet Voltaire, Fad Gadget, PiL and Can, The Twighlight Sad have developed a sound that is reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails or The Cure in their imperial phases.
