British singer-songwriter-guitarist Mark Knopfler, frontman and co-founder of rock legends Dire Straits, has announced a 2013 UK tour, which includes a run of dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The 63 year-old star hits the road on May 17th for a gig in Glasgow’s SECC, before travelling to Newcastle, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Brighton. Then, they begin their six-date residency at Royal Albert Hall, which concludes their tour on June 1st. Tickets go onsale this Friday at 9am - you can find yours through Stereoboard.
Mark Knopfler is one of the most critically and commercially successful artists of all time, with his band Dire Straits or as a solo musician. He has already sold in excess of 135 million records, and has received countless awards and honours including an OBE and several Grammy Awards.
