English-Irish boy band, formed in 2009 and making their debut release in 2010, are set to release their new EP “Over:Sound” in early 2013 after the disappointment of their previous album.
The group's third studio album has already released two singles this year that are expected to feature on the new record, with “Chasing The Sun” hitting the UK charts over the summer and “I Found You” released last weekend and heading for a good position in the charts this weekend.
The boys have recently stated how disappointed they were with their second album, especially after the hype surrounding their first. Tom Parker said, “honestly, we didn't think our last album was as strong as our first,” while Max George added that “it was different - too different”. Discussing their next LP, Nathan Sykes said, “with this next album I think we’re going to take the darkness from our last record but with the feeling of our first”, suggesting that on release in 2012 their “album will be bigger and more uplifting and optimistic”.
Their third album was set to release in Christmas, though was delayed as the band stated “its no fun performing or promoting if you don’t believe in the music”. The Wanted are subsequently “keen to release the album in the fourth quarter and stated that “its our first worldwide album and we want to get it right”.
Their new album is rumoured to contain a number of collaborations including “Have Some Fun” with Pitbull, alongside duo LMFAO and Rita Ora.
The Wanted’s most recent single “I Found You” is not out and on course for a top 5 place on the UK music chart and their third album is to be anticipated by fans.
