Patrick Wolf Confirms February 2013 'Sundark And Riverlight' UK Tour

Patrick Wolf has confirmed a string of February dates for 'The Sundark And Riverlight' UK tour.
'Sundark and Riverlight' is a double album released by Patrick last month under his own label, Bloody Chamber Music, and Essential Music. Announcing details of the tour with a post on his official website, Patrick had the following to say about his latest trek and where it will take him next:
"The Sundark and Riverlight Jubilee tour started the week in August I packed my life into two suitcases and put everything i’ve ever owned into storage, yearning to be free of domestic ties, to pull up anchor.
The first show, at The Old Vic Theatre was one minute walk from my house on Burrows Mews where I wrote Lupercalia.
Performing with woodwind and string quartets that night was something i’ll remember forever, it was half a home coming and half
a wonderful farewell to the city I was born.
Then travelled on through Australia, with an amazing two nights at the Sydney Opera House, then east to America and Canada.
San Francisco you made me feel like a superstar, thankyou!
Returning in October across the ocean to play some gorgeous churches and theatres around Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.
I am so happy to take this ever evolving show into 2013, this feels like an adventure, not a tour!
These shows we’re announcing today are only the first of many 2013 dates. ictoria Sutherland my long term violinist rejoined the show In Reykjavik and will be joining me now until the end of the year and hopping in and out of the 2013 shows.
Most thrillingly, next year I will be touring with Willemwiebe an amazing accordionist I met in Holland, I’ve always wanted to
hear my string arrangements played on accordion and it brings such an exciting new energy to the songs.
I can’t wait to see you, i hope you can make it to one of the shows next year and please keep the requests coming in, nothing is off the menu!
Today I leave for Lille, the taxi is waiting, must dash I have a sea to cross!
