Beyonce Lip Synced Obama Inauguration Performance, According To Reports

Superstar singer Beyonce lip-synced her performance of the American national anthem at the Barack Obama inauguration ceremony, it has been revealed.
The 31 year-old received a lot of praise and attention for her rendition of the song, and was watched by millions of people both live and on television as they celebrated the start of Obama’s second term as president. But, Master Sergeant Kristin DuBois - a spokesperson or the Marine Corp Band - revealed that she actually used a pre-recorded version.
DuBois told The Times: “We pre-recorded all music as a matter of course and have done since time immemorial. This is our 54th inauguration… There is no question of there not being any music, it's not because the performer cannot do it.”
The inaugural committee have also given a statement on the affair, saying: “There was no opportunity for Ms Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band before the inauguration so it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill-advised for such a high-profile event.
"Each piece of music scheduled for performance in the Inauguration is pre-recorded for use in case of freezing temperatures, equipment failure, or extenuating circumstances. Regarding Ms Knowles-Carter's vocal performance, no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded.”
The statement from the committee adds confusion as to whether Beyonce definitely lip-synced, though it is now widely reported that she did. What do you think of the story?
