Atoms For Peace’s Thom Yorke And Nigel Godrich Give Teeangers Advice In New Video

Wednesday, 10 April 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Atoms for Peace bandmates Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich have posted a slightly bizarre new video for Rookie’s Ask a Grown Man series - which sees them giving teenagers advice on their love lives!

The video - which you can check out below - sees the pair covering a range of teenage problems, from break-ups, to brands of deodorant, to how to tell a boy you like him if you are ‘really, really, really shy and so is he’.

Answering the latter question, Yorke said: “If you have a crush on him, if you're really, really, really, really shy, which is what I was at that age – also, I was at a boys' school so it was impossible to meet girls anyway – how about just write him a note, if you can't bear to talk to him. Or throw him against the wall sometime.”

The Radiohead star also talked about physical imperfections - he himself was born with his right eye permanently shut.

“When I was your age I was convinced that girls would think that was really not nice at all. I worked in this pub and this old woman – she was so funny – she used to come in all the time, and she was the first person who really said to me, 'It's the nicest thing about you'. She was pissed at the time, but I went with it.”

You can check out the video below - if you want to catch the band live (and maybe ask them advice on one or two of your own personal problems!), check the dates and links below to find tickets to their up and coming July UK tour dates.
