Dry The River Reschedule And Announce Extra Low-Key UK Dates & Tickets

Thursday, 09 May 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Dry The River have announced they are rescheduling some of their summer UK dates due to commitments with the work on album number 2. The band have also added two new shows to the schedule. These new low-key dates will see Dry The River road-testing new material from the up-and-coming new album.

Details of the shows were announced via a post on the band's official website:

'The other day we broke a few months of silence to announce that we’d been in Iceland recording album two, and that we were ready to announce the first shows of the year. Since then we’ve been altering and adjusting, making those changes which turn a collection of songs into an album. It’s a really crucial stage in the life of a record and a band, and we’re very close now - nearing the end of an exciting, fulfilling (and sometimes backbreaking) journey through the most challenging and creative period of our musical career - but we’re not quite there yet.

This has led us to the difficult decision to reschedule some of the shows we announced in the last newsletter. Sadly, this includes our first festival of the year, Food For Your Senses. It’s something we hate to do, but we have to give this record the time and effort it demands, for ourselves and for you folks who’ve come to our shows and bought our releases over the past few years.

We have, however, added two new shows Aldershot and Reading to the schedule.

Any tickets you’ve already bought will be valid for the new shows. Alternatively, if you can’t make the new date, you can email or take your tickets back to your point of purchase for a refund.'

Dry The River UK Tour Dates are as follows

Wed June 12th 2013 - Portland Arms, Cambridge
Fri June 14th 2013 - West End Centre, Aldershot
Sat June 15th 2013 - South Street Arts Centre, Reading

Tue June 18th 2013 - Haunt, Brighton
Wed June 19th 2013 - Amersham Arms, London
Thu June 20th 2013 - Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
