Thursday, 16 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Scottish indie-rockers Franz Ferdinand have announced the details of their fourth studio album.

The award-winning outfit have finally finished work on the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’, and have revealed that the new LP - entitled ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’ - will hit shelves on August 26th.

The highly-anticipated record was recorded in both frontman Alex Kapranos’ studio in their native Scotland, and guitarist Nick McCarthy’s Sausage Studios in London, as well as at sessions in Oslo and Stockholm. The band have also said that there’ll be a number of ‘interesting’ collaborations, though they haven’t yet named who.

The tracklisting for the album is below, alongside a trailer for the brand new album. Franz Ferdinand recently performed some of the new tracks live in intimate Glasgow venue Nice n’ Sleazy - you can find fan footage of the gig embedded below, too.

Keep your eyes peeled on Stereoboard for future Franz Ferdinand announcements - we’ll let you know if they decide to hit the tour in support of their new record any time soon.
