Britney Spears Announces Release Of New Album

Britney Spears has announced that her brand new album will hit shelves on December 3.

The new record, the eighth of her career, is looking set to be one of the most anticipated LPs of the year, and with a bit of luck, could even see her be in contention for Xmas Number 1.

The announcement follows this morning’s epic Nevada desert showdown, which saw Britney arrive by helicopter to greet 1300 fans and announce a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Spears also appeared on Good Morning America, speaking to her fans about her new album, claiming ‘the perfume song’ to be her favourite track from it, adding that it was ‘really beautiful’. Speaking about her residency, the star said:

“I love Vegas. The energy is really good. I'm going to do my greatest hits, but I'm going to have to put some of my new material in to keep it fresh. I'm definitely ready. I sometimes have training for five hours a day.”

The album’s lead single ‘Work Bitch’ hit shelves yesterday.
