Matt Willis Claims Busted Were Offered Position on The Big Reunion

Matt Willis - one third of Busted, and a member of brand new supergroup McBusted - has revealed that his former band were offered a spot on ITV2 show The Big Reunion.
Busted were one of country’s favourite pop-rock outfits back in the early Noughties, selling four million records thanks to singles like Year 3000 and Air Hostess. Now, Willis and James Bourne (who formed Busted alongside Charlie Simpson) are joining McFly to embark on a tour next year as McBusted.
But, Willis has revealed that things could have gone a lot differently, had they signed up for The Big Reunion alongside Five, Atomic Kitten and others.
“Busted have been approached quite a few times to do things and maybe do the comeback thing. Recently The Big Reunion approached us - and I mean, good luck to those guys - but it didn't feel right for our band. But this just feels different. It kind of felt obvious.”
Willis also went on to add that former member Simpson, who is now working as a solo artist following his time with Fightstar, is ‘more than welcome to come back, but we don't know if he ever will’.
