Elton John Takes Over At The Summit Of Stereoboard's Hot Ticket Chart

Friday, 15 November 2013 Written by Stereoboard.com

Elton John has pulled up a chair at the top of Stereoboard’s Hot Ticket chart this week, having seen off competition from Geordie TV duo Ant and Dec.

The pop legend will play three shows in June 2014, in Manchester, Nottingham and Colchester, while Ant and Dec have lined up an arena run for their Saturday Night Takeaway show.

At three is The X Factor’s stage incarnation, while superstar DJ Avicii and boyband One Direction complete the top five. Michael Buble is at six, just ahead of Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball - headlined this year by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry - while Dolly Parton and Drake’s arena dates are selling well enough to take spots eight and nine. Rounding out the top 10 are the Reflektors - Arcade Fire to you and me.

Peter Andre is a new entry at 11, with Bruno Mars sandwiched by pop supergroup McBusted, who have taken their place in the top 20 based on pre-sale tickets alone. Behind them are the stars of Strictly Come Dancing, James Arthur, Arctic Monkeys, Lee Evans and Chase And Status, while this week’s countdown is completed by WWE’s current arena tour and Stereophonics.
