London's O2 Arena Could Host Designer Shopping Complex

Tuesday, 07 January 2014 Written by Elliott Batte

The O2 Arena could be set to host a designer fashion outlet in the near future.

The O2 is one of the UK’s leading arenas and new plans now point to an unused section of the venue being converted into a designer haven, featuring up to 100 stores.

AEG Live are working with property firm Land Securities to realise the idea. Alistair Wood, senior vice president of real estate and development at AEG, said:

"We are strongly of the view that a well-executed and positioned designer outlet village could drive the huge success enjoyed to date at the O2. We welcome Land Securities as our potential partner, who we believe to be an ideal match in terms of track record and skill match."
