The Amity Affliction have shared a new single, Shine On. It's the band's first new music since 2014's 'Let The Ocean Take Me'.
The Australian metalcore giants premiered the track on Australia’s Triple J Radio. Talking with them about the song, vocalist Joel Birch said:
"We wrote it on the Warped Tour this Summer and recorded a very, very rough demo in the back of the bus… We had (producer) Will Putney, the same guy that did 'Let The Ocean Take Me', come out and spend five days in the studio doing pre-production. then fixing it up and tightening the song."
Birch also gave an update on the band's new album, which is expected in 2016:
"Ahren (Stringer, bass/vocals) and Dan (Brown, guitarist) have about 15 new songs written so far…”
The Amity Affliction and A Day To Remember will team up for a co-headlining tour of Australia this December. They will be joined by The Ghost Inside and Motionless In White for the Big Ass tour, with shows confirmed in Auckland, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane between December 10 and 20. Tickets are on sale now.
