65daysofstatic Announce Release Of 'No Man's Sky' Game Soundtrack

Friday, 08 April 2016 Written by Jennifer Geddes

65daysofstatic have announced the release of their soundtrack to the game No Man's Sky

'No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe' is out on June 17, via Laced Records, and is their first release since 2013's 'Wild Light'. The album will comprise of 10 new songs, along with an additional collection of soundscapes and sound design. The band have said of the project:

"Being involved with No Man’s Sky is as unlikely as it is exciting. Two years of our lives have disappeared into a black hole and we’ve been spat out into another dimension. The project has pushed us to explore new processes and techniques, to rethink our relationship with our own music and to essentially soundtrack every narrative thread of a ‘choose your own adventure’ novel that exists only in our minds. We’re really proud of the results, and can’t wait to release the album and play it live."

You can listen to the record's first cut, Supermoon, below.

The band are set to play a headline show in Liverpool on April 28, as well as make appearances at Bluedot Festival in Manchester and Leicester's Handmade Festival in the coming months.

65daysofstatic Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Thu April 28 2016 - LIVERPOOL O2 Academy Liverpool
