Devonté Hynes will release a new Blood Orange album, ‘Freetown Sound’, on July 1.

The follow up to ‘Cupid Deluxe’ will be accompanied by a show at KOKO in London, along with a support slot alongside Florence and the Machine and Kendrick Lamar at their Hyde Park British Summer Time date.

Discussing the record, which you can watch a brief trailer for here, Hynes said:

“I have just finished making an album about my life, my upbringing, being black in England, being black in America…my movement to this country at the age of 21, the same age that my mother moved from Guyana to London, and my father from Sierra Leone to London. ‘Freetown Sound’, the name of my album, is taken from Freetown where my father was born.”

Blood Orange Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Tue July 5th 2016 - LONDON KOKO
