Red Hot Chili Peppers Top UK Album Chart

ImageIncredible sales of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album sees the Californian rockers top the album charts.

'Stadium Arcadium' went straight in at Number 1, knocking last weeks top entry by Snow Patrol down to Number 2.


The most notable other new entry in the album charts was by Ex-Libertine singer Carl Barat's new band, Dirty Pretty Things.

'Waterloo to Anywhere' went straight in at number 3.

In the singles chart Gnarles Barklay managed to hold on for an astonishing seventh week at the top, while RHCP's Dani California dropped 4 places to number 6.

Most notable new entries this week were Boy Kill Boy's 'Suzie' at 17, The Upper Room's 'Black & White' at 22, Delays with 'Hideaway' at 35 and ex-Blur guitarist Graham Coxon entered the charts at 39 with new single 'You & I'.
