Braids, Melt Yourself Down and Shock Machine are among the latest new names for Sŵn Festival’s 10th anniversary.

The Canadian synth-pop trio will head to Cardiff following the recent release of their ‘Companion’ EP, the follow up to their 2015 album ‘Deep In The Iris', while Melt Yourself Down are set to close proceedings on the Sunday night.

Shock Machine is the new project from Klaxons' James Righton, with the bill also bolstered by Broken Hands, Tibet, Bossy Love, Casi, Blood Sport, Have You Ever Seen The Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS?, ACCÜ, the Contact High, Nick Jonah Davis, Shells, CaStLeS, Connah Evans, Danielle Lewis, Fleur De Lys, Reuel Elijah, Roughion, Ysgol Sul, Caro, Living Body, Rattle, Bamboo, Blood Medals, James Canty, Joseph J. Jones, Tender Prey and Adverse Camber.

Organiser John Rostron, meanwhile, has promised a series of secret sets for the festival, which will again take over venues across the Welsh capital between October 21 and 23. He said:

“We want our 10th edition to be the best yet and for Sŵn that means continuing to book the best new acts into the small venues and spaces that bring live music to Cardiff week in,week out. With Sŵn the joy is bringing brilliant live acts to the festival with an emphasis on new, emerging talent rather than having too many big names you already know. Sŵn is a festival of musical discovery. The fun is putting your trust in us to see new acts close up and early on who’ll become future festival headliners. On that note, this year there’ll be a few gifts back to those who’ve put their trust in us, with some surprise shows happening across the festival weekend. It’ll be an absolute treat.”

Sŵn organisers also recently confirmed the addition of Cate Le Bon to the bill as part of Turnstile Records’ stage at Buffalo, with Lonely The Brave, Meilyr Jones and many more also set to appear during the weekend. Head here for full details.

Swn Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:
