The track shares its title with their new LP, which is set to arrive on on May 5 via Marathon Artists and follow up 2015's 'Man, It Feels Like Space Again'.
Discussing the song, the band's Nick Allbrook said:
"What does one do in the Worst Case Scenario? Our friend Evelyn told about an old game - a card game or something - called ‘The Worst Case Scenario Survival Game’. ‘The Weather’ is about reality’s penchant for unearthly deceleration in moments of total disaster and panic (micro and macro), and the real - flawed and silly and irredeemably human - humans who experience them. In these moments - when there is no more fan for the shit to hit - the once vain and frivolous pleasures of life seem so… not.”
Pond will play six UK shows as part of a wider European tour this summer. They will also appear at End Of The Road Festival and Electric Picnic this autumn.
