The track, which features additional vocals by Ella Mai + Vanjess, is the first new material from the North London rapper since the release of her sophomore album, ‘Stillness in Wonderland’, in December. About it, she said:
"I don't talk or say too much + since the beginning my music has been my way of communicating with the supporters + people who really care about me+ my art. BACKSEAT is an update for the people. It's all in the lyrics. Thank you for listening.”
Little Simz has a number of festival appearances inked in the diary for the coming months, including The Great Escape in Brighton next week, Gorillaz Demon Dayz in June and Afropunk in July.
