Evanescence will play five shows in Australia accompanied by a live orchestra early next year.
The band will release their fourth studio album, 'Synthesis', on November 10, with performances to follow in Brisbane, Melbourne and two dates in Sydney, where they'll play the Opera House, between February 11 and 16.
The shows, billed as Synthesis Live, will see the band collaborate with Australian symphony orchestras alongside electronic programming. Speaking about the dates, vocalist Amy Lee said:
"I'm really looking forward to bringing this new and different show to Australia. Playing the Sydney Opera House is something I've dreamed about all my life. I remember taking the ferry over to Manly during days off on past tours with the band, and looking over at the legendary structure, saying 'One day, we're going to play there!' I can't believe it's finally going to be a reality. We're all very excited about it."
The band's fourth album will feature orchestral versions of past tracks alongside two new songs and includes a guest performance by violinist Lindsey Stirling on one of them, Hi-Lo. Stream the record's other new track, Imperfection, below.
Tickets go on general sale at 12pm on October 9.
