Evanescence Announce Sixth Album 'Sanctuary' With New Single Who Will You Follow

Evanescence have announced their long-awaited sixth studio album.
The follow-up 2021's 'The Bitter Truth' is titled 'Sanctuary' and will arrive on June 5, with a double vinyl edition dropping later in the year on September 4.
Produced by Zakk Cervini (Bad Omens, YUNGBLD, Spiritbox), Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon, Poppy, Architects) and Nick Raskulinecz (Korn, Foo Fighters and Rush), the album will include the Grammy-winning rock band's 2025 single Afterlife, as well as the newly shared Who Will You Follow, which leans into their heavier edge with crunching guitars and soaring, powerful vocals from Amy Lee.
"This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it," Lee explained. "It’s overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection… good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn’t know what to do with myself now! I’ve been completely obsessed. I’m dying for the fans to hear this."
The Arkansas quintet will support the album with a previously scheduled world tour, kicking off with the North American leg this summer, followed by UK and European dates in September and October. Support in North America will come from Spiritbox and Nova Twins, with Poppy featuring on the UK and Europe shows, joined by K. Flay in the UK and Nova Twins across Europe. K.Flay will also support Evanescence at their show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on October 26.
Tickets for those dates are on sale now, and through the band's partnership with PLUS1, every ticket sold will include a £1 donation to organisations providing humanitarian aid and medical relief around the world.
Evanescence, who also play Sick New World in Las Vegas and Texas on April 25 and October 24, respectively, released Fight Like A Girl with K. Flay last year, while Lee also collaborated with Halsey on Hand That Feeds, with both tracks featuring on the soundtrack for the film Ballerina.
