Howie Payne has released a new single, Hold Steady The Wire.
It's the latest track to emerge from Payne's long-awaited new LP, ‘Mountain’, which is due out on October 27 through Full Stack Records. The album will be Payne's first since his 2009 debut, ‘Bright Light Ballads’.
Speaking about the track, the Stands frontman said:
“I had the windows open late at night and could hear the crowds of people coming out of the pubs and all that in the distance, you know, shouting, laughing, fighting, singing, all the stuff that happens... The chord progression is very satisfying to play, kind of hypnotic, I was playing it round and round and then the song arrived, and everything that was in the air just all found its way into it.”
