The Fratellis have unveiled a video for their new single, Stand Up Tragedy.
The track is the first single to be shared from the Scottish trio's upcoming fifth studio album, 'In Your Own Sweet Time', which will arrive on March 9 via Cooking Vinyl. Speaking about the video, vocalist Jon Fratelli said:
"We needed something that captured the spirit of the song, that didn't take itself too seriously and had one simple suggestion... Dance God Damn You!!
"I thought the track had a manic, really fun energy to it which would work perfectly with a very unlikely, irreverent love story so I wanted to make it all about old people and one fiery couple. The shoot was extremely fun, everyone’s inner disco came out when we switched the lights on and starting giving 70-somethings feather boas and sunglasses!"
The band will accompany the release of the album with shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle, Glasgow and London, where they'll perform at the O2 Forum.
