L7 Share Video For New Single I Came Back To Bitch

L7 have shared a video for their new single, I Came Back To Bitch.

The track, which is out now through Don Giovanni, follows up last autumn's Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago, which marked their their first new material since 1999.

Speaking about the track with Rolling Stone, guitarist and vocalist Donita Sparks said:

"It's universal. It's about greedy fucks throwing the word 'rock star' around because someone made a huge profit on somebody else's back … Do not degrade the word 'rock star.' That's what I find grotesque – because creative people, caregivers, civil servants – those are the people who are contributing to society … Capitalist motherfuckers are just making money off of polluting things and ruining neighborhoods.

Everything is going to shit. Don't latch this onto anything trending, because it's not about that. Some folkies grab an acoustic guitar. We have a different approach. We are here to bitch ... because we're real."

Photo: Zackary Michael We already know what’s going to happen when modern day icons Arctic Monkeys release a new album. It’ll top the UK charts (check); it’ll leave critics swooning and kissing their ass (also check); it’ll be full of energy,  demonic guitar riffs and hooks (er, maybe not).

Frank Turner’s sound has changed little over the course of his 13 year career as a solo artist. The edges have been smoothed somewhat, while the instrumentation has grown more varied (and, when it needs to be, lavish), but his feelgood folk-punk USP has remained the same.
