Matt Maltese has shared a new single.

Greatest Comedian, which was produced by Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado and Alex Burey, will feature on his forthcoming debut album, which is expected to arrive this summer.

Alongside the track, the singer-songwriter has announced his biggest headline show to date at the Scala in London on June 6. Tickets go on sale at 10am on March 9.

Speaking about the single's artwork, Maltese said:

“A few months back, I met Elizabeth and Greg in a pub and, due to some uninspired stroke of inspiration I had, I asked them if they’d be in some photos for ‘Greatest Comedian’ and my album. They were strangers before the photos were taken, but then in the shots there was this touching, strange sense of familiarity coming through. They sat in these gaudy, dated rooms, and looked like everything at once – longing, loss, romance. One of my favourite photographers, Scarlett Carlos Clarke, took the photos and to her I’m very thankful.”

Tonight Maltese will play a sold out show at Safehouse in Peckham. He will also appear at Liverpool Sound City on May 5 and Deer Shed Festival on July 21.
