Sam Smith, Liam Gallagher, Stereophonics Among New Acts For BBC Music's The Biggest Weekend

Lots of new acts have been added to the line up for BBC Music's The Biggest Weekend.

Joining the Swansea bill are Sam Smith, Rita Ora, Camila Cabello, George Ezra, Stefflon Don, Mabel, Liam Payne, Thirty Seconds To Mars and Sigrid. Also heading to Wales in May are the previously announced Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Craig David, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Wolf Alice, Niall Horan, J Hus and James Bay. 

Liam Gallagher, meanwhile, will top the bill at Coventry's War Memorial Park on May 27, following sets from Stereophonics, Paloma Faith, Tears For Fears, UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey, Billy Ocean, Snow Patrol and Jamie Cullum. The next day the venue will play host to Nigel Kennedy, Milos, Gogo Penguin, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band, Dinosaur, Strictly Come Dancing with the BBC Concert Orchestra and Angelique Kidjo.

BBC 6 Music have also confirmed new names for the Belfast line up, including Father John Misty, who will perform with the Ulster Orchestra, David Holmes, who will play a DJ set, Neneh Cherry, Dream Wife, Touts, Shame, Phoebe Bridgers, Soak, the Orielles, and Superorganism, among others.

Underworld will headline the Saturday night at the Titanic Slipways, where they will be joined by Franz Ferdinand, First Aid Kit, Ash, Goldie, Little Dragon and Young Fathers. May 25, meanwhile, will be headlined by Beck, with Orbital, Manic Street Preachers, the Breeders, Courtney Barnett and Public Service Broadcasting also set to appear. 

At Scone Palace in Perth on May 26 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will follow sets from Simple Minds,  Emeli Sandé​, Squeeze, the Shires, Amy MacDonald, the Beat starring Dave Wakeling and Julie Fowlis, and on May 25 Nigel Kennedy will be joined by Danielle De Niese,  Evelyn Glennie, Eddie Reader and Band, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Karine Polwart Trio, Jamie Cullum, and the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra directed by Tommy Smith.
