Friendly Fires Return With New Single Love Like Waves

Friday, 06 April 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Friendly Fires have returned with a new single.

Love Like Waves marks their first new material in four years. In 2014, the band teamed up with Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J. Fairplay, the Asphodells, for the double a-side single Velo/Before Your Eyes, while their last album was 2011's 'Pala'.

The release of the track coincides with the trio's comeback gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton last night. It was their first live date since 2012 and their first time at the venue since a three-night residency in 2011.

The band have a busy summer ahead with numerous festival appearances lined up, including All Points East in London, Glasgow's TRNSMT, Truck, Boardmasters, Lost Village, Victorious and Festival No.6.
