Future Shares New Song Translator

Thursday, 02 August 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

It's not uncommon to find a new Future track released on social media without any warning.

Translator arrives among a busy few months for the rapper, as he prepares to head out on tour with Nicki Minaj this autumn. He also recently produced and curated the soundtrack to the new Superfly remake and suprised everyone last month with his 'Beastmode 2' mixtape, the sequel to 2015's 'Beastmode', which again found him collaborating with producer Zaytoven.

Future released his eponymous fifth album and the follow up, 'HNDRXX’ in 2017 and combined with Young Thug earlier this year for their 'Super Slimey' project. Another new album is expected shortly, while the NICKIHNDRXX tour hits the UK and Europe in spring 2019.

Drake - Scorpion (Album Review)
Mon 09 Jul 2018
A common criticism levelled at Drake over the years is that his records tend to sound the same, but it’s a jab that misses the mark. While it's true that the Toronto megastar has developed a dependable formula, delivering introverted yet accessible rhymes over new school production, there's a clear distinction between his sonically expansive early works and his minimalist quasi-dancehall records of recent years.

Mon 30 Jul 2018
‘Rolling Papers II’, Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa’s sequel to his 2011 major label debut, stands as 25 songs of laid back beats and a heavy reliance on finger clicks, sampled bass riffs, 808s and synth effects.
