Disclosure Continue Prolific Streak With New Single Where You Come From

Friday, 24 August 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Disclosure are on a roll! They've released their fifth track in five days

Where You Come From follows up Funky Sensation, Love Can Be So Hard, Where Angels Fear To Tread and Moonlight. The songs are the duo's first new material since Ultimatum, which came out in May and marked their first new offering since 2016’s ‘Moog For Love’ EP.

In the same vein as the other tracks, Where You Come From draws on a number of samples, including Sudanese artist Kamal Keila and other releases from the Habibi Funk record label. The song has strong, pulsing beats and is likely to be on heavy rotation in clubs this summer.

The Lawrence brothers said:

“All of these tracks are sample based and we wanted to delve into genres that we hadn’t really experimented with in the past. What we ended up with worked so well together as a set - uplifting, upbeat and danceable, and it made sense to put them all out now in one go.”
