Thursday, 20 September 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Wolf Alice have won the Mercury Prize 2018 for their second album, 'Visions of a Life'.

Released last September through Dirty Hit, the indie quartet fought off competition from Arctic Monkeys, Everything Everything, Everything Is Recorded, Florence and the Machine, Jorja Smith, King Krule, Lily Allen, Nadine Shah, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Novelist and Sons of Kermit to succeed last year's winner, Sampha, who took home the gong for his debut album, 'Process'.

Wolf Alice accepted the award from Clara Amfo and Annie Mac at Hammersmith's Eventim Apollo in London.

The band will draw a line under touring behind ‘Visions of a Life’ at the O2 Academy Brixton on December 20, following up an earlier date at the venue, a show at the Roundhouse and a stop at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse.

Wolf Alice Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Wed October 17 2018 - LONDON Roundhouse (Q Awards)
Tue December 18 2018 - MANCHESTER O2 Victoria Warehouse
