Titus Andronicus Surprise Release 12" 'Home Alone On Halloween'

Titus Andronicus have surprise released a new EP.
'Home Alone On Halloween' was recorded during the sessions for 'A Productive Cough', and comes in at a whopping 31 minutes for just three tracks.
The title track gives a spooky, seasonal spin on one of the hardest rocking tunes from the band's lastest album, whereas a cover of Bob Dylan's Only A Hobo yields a more blues-folk sound, with a simple piano, acoustic guitar and voice arrangement. But don't forget the harmonica. The final track hits a faster pace while returning to the classic rock structure of solid chords and even an organ wailing away in the background.
Of the new release, singer songwriter Patrick Stickles explained:
“Death is not scary. Everyone has to die, but not everyone gets to die surrounded by love with the satisfaction of a life well-lived. What frightens me, far more than ghouls or goblins, is knowing that I may yet face the former without the comfort of the latter. When it comes to that of which nightmares are made, a werewolf popping out of the bushes is nothing next to a life without love when it is too late to turn back.”
Titus Andronicus kick off a tour in North America next week.
