Van Morrison Announces New Album 'The Prophet Speaks', Shares Title Track

Wednesday, 10 October 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Van Morrison is not showing any signs of slowing down.

Ahead of his upcoming shows in Cardiff, Torquay and Bristol, the veteran singer-songwriter has announced a new album, 'The Prophet Speaks'. Arriving on December 7, it follows up to his collaborative LP with Joey DeFrancesco, 'You're Driving Me Crazy', which came out in April.

The Northern Irish artist also put out two records last year, 'Roll With The Punches' and 'Versatile'. Feeling lazy yet? Head below to check out the new album's title track, which sees Morrison accompanied by his full band, including Spanish guitar and saxophone, and features a harmonica solo.

His vocals are strong to match the conviction in his words."When the prophet speaks, no one listens, when the prophet speaks, mostly no one hears, only those that are trained to listen, only those who have ears to hear," he sings.

Van Morrison Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri October 12 2018 - CARDIFF St David's Hall
Tue October 16 2018 - TORQUAY Princess Theatre - Torquay
Wed October 17 2018 - TORQUAY Princess Theatre - Torquay
