Prior to the arrival of ‘The Anteroom’ on October 19, How To Dress Well has shared a new single called Body Fat.
A low key synth-pop song that teases a big drop only to hang several left turns into unexpected territory, it’s been paired with a hypnotic video directed by the band’s own Tom Krell alongside Justin Daashuur Hopkins, with 3D modeling and animation by Aron Johnson (aka Crash Override).
“The song is about the intergenerational transmission of trauma – about the way rage persists in the flesh from way before you as an individual,” Krell says. “This is why life is painful, why love is difficult...when I first started writing it, I felt like 'damn THIS is the song I've been trying to write for the last five years.’”
How To Dress Well's European tour kicks off in London on October 15, with shows across North America set to follow throughout November and into December.
