Swervedriver have signed to Mogwai's Rock Action and will release 'Future Ruins' early in the new year.
Out on January 25, the Oxford shoegaze heroes' first full length in nearly four years is preceded by their brand new cut and album opener, Mary Winter.
Instantly captivating, the song is narrated by a recognisable Swervedriver archetype: a traveler, hurtling away from this world. "In Mary Winter, the character is a spaceman who’s trying to remember what life is really like," vocalist and guitarist Adam Franklin says of the new track. "There’s a lot of foreboding with regard to the future on this album."
In other news, the band's third album, 'Ejector Seat Reservation', was recently reissued on vinyl.
