Fleet Foxes Share Rare Track Icicle Tusk From Career-Spanning 'First Collection 2006-2009'

Thursday, 25 October 2018 Written by Helen Payne

Fleet Foxes have re-released their song Icicle Tusk, which originally featured on the folk band's 2006 self titled EP.

Still an up and coming band that year, the EP was a grassroots endeavor from front man Robin Pecknold and co, who burned the CDs by hand. It was limited to less than 200 copies.

Now having grown to a festival headlining band, Icicle Tusks will feature on the forthcoming limited edition 'First Collection 2006-2009' release, which consists of content spanning the early days of Fleet Foxes’ career: their debut LP on 12", 'The Fleet Foxes' EP on 10" vinyl, the 'Sun Giant' EP on 10" vinyl, and a handful of B-sides and rarities on 10".

The special edition collection is due on November 9, and follows on from their critically acclaimed 2017 album, 'Crack Up'. Check out the full tracklisting below.
