Cheryl Returns With New Single Love Made Me Do It

Friday, 09 November 2018 Written by Huw Baines

Cheryl is back with a new track called Love Made Me Do It.

The former Girls Aloud member has followed news of her live return - as part of Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball at London’s O2 Arena on December 9 - with the unapologetic new track, which fuses a dancing hook with pop-house flourishes straight out of the Major Lazer playbook.

Robyn - Honey (Album Review)
Mon 29 Oct 2018
There is a method of mastering in dance music production - pioneered by Daft Punk - that involves increasing sidebar compression on the kick drum. The result is that the whole track throbs around the kick, and seems more aggressive, powerful and tight. It’s particularly effective for radio play, where things are engineered into a state of razor-like sharpness to be heard over rush hour traffic.
