Tax The Heat Announce Spring Dates As Special Guest To Mott The Hoople

Wednesday, 21 November 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Tax The Heat have announced a series of UK dates in April as special guest to Mott The Hoople.

The Bristol rock and rollers will link up with Ian Hunter and band for shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Gateshead and London, where they'll play two nights at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Tax The Heat vocalist and guitarist Alex Veale said:

"Tax The Heat opening for Mott The Hoople, what a surreal and brilliant thing to be asked to do! Their influence in rock n roll is so apparent. It's the 45th anniversary of their '74 tour which they asked Queen to open up for them, which well and truly set them on their way... They clearly have taste and if we can follow in those footsteps we’ll be more than happy. It’s going to be an honour and privilege. Bring on April!"

In addition, following the release of 'Change Your Position earlier this year, Tax The Heat are preparing to hit the road for five live dates in December. Tickets are on sale now.

Mott The Hoople Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri April 19 2019 - MANCHESTER Academy
Sat April 20 2019 - GLASGOW Barrowland

Tue April 23 2019 - GATESHEAD Sage
