White Lies Continue To Tease 'Five' With New Track Finish Line

White Lies have shared another track from their new album 'Five'.
Finish Line is a dramatic cut that lyrically addresses the breakdown of a relationship, echoing the emotional rollercoaster with the shift from major to minor keys and a gradual change from stripped back to dominant guitar lines and fierce string arrangements.
Lyricist and bass player Charles Cave said:
“We are all hugely attached to this song, and really excited to share it prior to the album being released. Much like album-opener Time To Give, the track has an ambitious structure – one emanating from our love of Prog. At its heart, it’s a simple song about a young couple’s break-up negotiations, I like to hope the music itself takes the listener through the emotional ups and downs. It’s up there as one of our best songs and we hope our fans think so too.”
The follow up to 2016's 'Friends' will arrive on February 1 and will be supported with a UK and European tours running from January to March. Tickets are on sale now.
Alongside the new song the band have announced a partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). They will release a braille lyric companion book to 'Five', which contains all of the album's lyrics in braille. The run will be limited to 500 hand numbered copies, with the RNIB receiving a £10 donation from every sale.
