Kamasi Washington And Maribou State Among First Names Confirmed For Funk And Soul Weekender

The first wave of acts have been announced for next year's Soundcrash Funk and Soul Weekender.
Following two sold out years, 2019's instalment of the festival is moving to a brand new location on the iconic Brighton Beach in May for three days of live music celebrating the best that funk and soul have to offer.
What? A three-day funk and soul festival firmly rooted in genre mainstays like northern soul, disco and big brass sounds while exploring the very best of neo-soul, hip hop beats and the UK's flourishing jazz scene.
Where? Brighton Beach.
When? May 17-19.
Who? Alongside Kamasi Washington and Maribou State, the first batch of artists and acts to be announced includes Gilles Peterson, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Alice Russell and many more. Further acts are to be confirmed in the new year.
