American Football Release Video For 'LP3' Opener Silhouettes

American Football have unveiled the video for Silhouettes.
The track opens their self-titled third album, which is due out on March 22 through Big Scary Monsters in the UK and features guest vocals from Paramore's Hayley Williams, Land of Talk’s Elizabeth Powell, and Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell.
The treatment for the video was written by the band's vocalist and guitarist Mike Kinsella and stars real-life couple Cale Parks, of the band Aloha, and his partner Kendra Smalter. The seven-minute clip was directed by Shawn Brackbill, who said:
"Working on the Silhouettes video was an interesting collaboration between the artist and directo. I prefer to work on a treatment with a band but this one came from Mike fairly well-formed. It was great to help develop the concept and bring this idea to life. I liked that Mike's treatment for Silhouette came through to me without a lot of explanation for WHY things were happening. It left things open for interpretation on my end as I helped develop the story. In putting together the final treatment and shot list, I tried to keep the story open-ended as well. To allow the viewer space to make their own interpretations for what they see here in the video."
