The Vryll Society Cancel UK Tour Dates, Announce Departure Of Vocalist Mike Ellis

Monday, 14 January 2019 Written by Helen Payne

The Vryll Society have cancelled their upcoming UK tour dates.

The Liverpool rock band, who released their debut album ‘Course Of The Satellite’ in August 2018, were due to call at club venues in January and February. All tickets are refundable from point of purchase.

The announcement comes with the news of vocalist Mike Ellis departing the band due to creative differences. He stated:

“It's been a great journey with many highs and some lows but I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together, especially our album. I wish the lads well and I will also be continuing to write music myself and will share it with you in the near future”.

Band member Lloyd Shearer added:

"We would like to apologise to all the fans who have bought tickets for upcoming shows, and to all involved in organising them. We’ve achieved many great things with Mike and we can’t thank him enough. We’ve had some great times as a band with Mike over the past few years and wish him all the best for his career in the future.”

The Vryll Society will continue with their remaining members. They are currently working on new material for release in the spring, with more tour dates expected to be announced later in the year.
