Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced spring UK and European tour dates supporting the release of their upcoming album.

The Mexican acoustic rock guitar duo will play Dublin's Olympia Theatre on April 21 and the iconic Roundhouse in London on April 24 as part of a run of dates around the release of 'Mettavolution', out on April 26 via Rubyworks/BMG. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on February 8.

Three years in the making, 'Mettavolution' came together at Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero's studio in Ixtapa on the Mexican Pacific Coast. One half of the LP contains six original tracks and the other is taken up by a cover of the Pink Floyd song Echoes, which you can check out below, along with the record's cover art and tracklist. The duo said:

"We are big Pink Floyd fans. That track, specially the live in Pompeii version means a lot to us, we even made a huge visual reference in our video for Hanuman. Besides that, the lyrics are even more relevant now than they were 45 years ago, the search for knowledge about ourselves, it’s becoming a key element for survival these days, that’s what evolution is all about at the end of the day."

'Mettavolution' tracklist:

1. Mettavolution
2. Terracentric
3. Cumbé
4. Electric Soul
5. Krotona Days
6. Witness Tree
7. Echoes
