Slipknot Announce Departure Of Percussionist Chris Fehn

Slipknot have announced the departure of Chris Fehn.
The band, who are currently working on the follow up to 2014's '.5: The Gray Chapter', broke the news that the percussionist, aka #3, was leaving with a statement on their official website. It follows rumours that Fehn was suing the band while still a member.
"Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life.

In early March the band announced that their sixth studio album would arrive on August 9 through Roadrunner and and that to support it they would embark on the Knotfest Roadshow Tour, a 29-date trek across North America. Joining them on the trek will be Volbeat, Behemoth and Gojira.
Slipknot will return to the UK this summer to top the bill at Download festival as part of a short run of headlining and mainstage festival dates in Europe.
