Sunday In The Park With George is heading to the West End in summer 2020.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine will run at the Savoy Theatre for 16 weeks, from June 11 through to September 2020. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £25 plus fees.
The production, telling the story of artist Georges Seurat in the months leading up to finishing his most famous painting — A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, will star Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee and BAFTA winner Jake Gyllenhaal and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford.
Originating at the New York City Centre, Sunday In The Park With George was one of the fastest selling musicals on Broadway, and is set to be the theatrical event of 2020.
